Year in Review
It’s hard to believe how much can change in just one year.
Many of you know my story—but for those who don’t, this has been a dream long in the making. For years, I knew I wanted to open my own physical therapy clinic. But because of the ongoing military moves, having the consistency and support to start a clinic never quite felt possible. Along the way though, I had the opportunity to work in clinics across Memphis, Louisiana, San Diego, and DC, learning from each one. I took notes—on what worked, what didn’t, and what I knew I would do differently.
What stood out the most was the lack of time. Time to build trust, understand each person’s full story, and dig deeper into the root causes of pain—often a complex blend of physical, mental, and emotional factors. I knew there had to be a better way.
That’s where Longevity began—with a simple but powerful intention: to offer something different. A place where people feel seen, heard, and cared for. A place that prioritizes relationships, one-on-one time, and treating the whole person—not just symptoms.
Last spring, everything finally aligned. We as a family, made the decision to plant roots here in Virginia Beach permanently. With a whole lot of faith, and quite a few nudges from God, I took the leap and opened Longevity Institute of Virginia.
On July 15, 2024, I saw my very first client—right out of my home office, which we had transformed into a physical therapy treatment room. It wasn’t fancy, but it was full of purpose. From that first session, I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be. The ability to spend uninterrupted time with each patient led to quicker progress, deeper connection, and a kind of care that just felt right.
Then in September, I had a conversation with Chris from Fully Alive. He mentioned the opportunity to expand into the space next door—formerly Edible Arrangements—and once again, God guided us and laid the path he wanted us to take. On October 28, we officially opened our own Longevity space inside Fully Alive. That move allowed us to grow, serve more people, and become even more embedded in the local community.
As the months went on, even more doors opened. We began partnering with amazing gyms and fitness communities across Virginia Beach—Grit, Kaizen, Red Mill Athletics, Club Pilates, Burn Boot Camp, LFT, Swell and more. These partnerships became an extension of our mission: keeping people active, strong, and doing what they love. Because we know the truth—movement is medicine, and long-term health starts with keeping people in motion.
We’ve also connected with incredible doctors, providers, and clinics who believe in our mission—and I’m so grateful for their continued support and collaboration. We’ve hosted workshops on pelvic floor health, low back pain, shoulder function, etc—creating space for people to learn, connect, and take ownership of their health. We’ve supported local races like Crush N’ Run and Run to Remember, offering hands-on recovery to help participants recharge and keep doing what they love. In the process, we’ve built lasting relationships with tennis players, weightlifters, golfers, swimmers, pickleball enthusiasts, runners, yogis, youth athletes, Hyrox competitors…the list goes on–people of all ages with all different sorts of goals who simply want to move better and feel better in their bodies.
And as our reach has grown, so has our team. I’m incredibly thankful for my husband, who has been with me from the very beginning—cheering me on, helping with the numbers and logistics (which are definitely not my strong suit), and playing a huge role as co-founder behind the scenes. I’m endlessly grateful to Jessica, my amazing PTA, for trusting me and becoming my right hand through all of this. Her heart, skill, and dedication have made such a difference. And to Brooke—thank you for being a total rockstar with our social media and marketing, and for bringing much-needed structure, clarity, and organization to our growing vision. I couldn’t do this without each of you.
This year has been nothing short of amazing. And it wouldn’t have happened without the love and encouragement of my family, friends, team, and this incredible Virginia Beach community that showed up so fully for our small business. To my OG clients—the ones who trusted me from the very beginning and believed in this vision before it even had walls—thank you. Your support has meant more than I can ever say.
I know, without a doubt, that God gave me the push I needed last spring. He said, “Now is the time.”
And He was right.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m deeply humbled and grateful for all the support, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead.
